Your website is a place you can build on.

From an idea in your notes to a corner of the internet with a purpose.

Decide what the visitor came to do

A website begins with a purpose. A reader wants an explanation. A customer wants to understand an offer. A clear page helps that person find the next useful step without making them decode the design.

Connect the pieces

HTML gives a page its structure, CSS controls its appearance and JavaScript can make it respond to actions. A server receives requests and returns responses. A database can store records when the application needs them. Each piece has a job.

Publish a useful first version

Begin with one complete visitor journey. Make the text readable on a phone, test the links and explain what the site offers. Add complexity when an actual need appears. A small working website gives you something concrete to improve.
